According to the bylaws of the society, its members may
belong into
three distinct categories, namely: regular, junior and honorary.
Regular members

Scientists holding a PhD degree, with a specialization (existing or
under way) in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics or a related field,
irrespective of their profession, nationality or residence.

Regular members are entitled to participate in the general assembly of
the Society, to vote and be voted for a board member.
Junior members
-
Scientists holding a BSc (or equivalent) in the Pure or Life Sciences,
who according to the HSCBB board can assist towards accomplishing the
goals of the Society.

Junior members are allowed to attend the general assembly, however, they
do not have the right to vote.
Honorary members
-
The HSCBB general assembly designates as Honorary members persons who
have offered significant service towards the accomplishment of the HSCBB
goals and had substantial contribution in promoting Computational
Biology and Bioinformatics.

they do not have the right to vote.
How to become a
member?
According to the bylaws

- Qualified applicants should send an application to be approved
by the HSCBB board.
Junior
members
- Qualified applicants should
be nominated by two regular members of the HSCBB (at least one should
be a member of the board) and send an application to be approved by the
HSCBB board.
Honorary members
- Any regular member of the HSCBB may nominate a qualified
applicant to the general assembly for becoming an honorary member. A
nomination letter should provide the relevant details to the HSCBB
general assembly to assist their decision.
